Cottage Restaurant was founded on 30th May 1953 by Ganpatram ji and Mangatrarai ji, with the full support of the Mother.
The purpose of starting a restaurant with sweets and snacks was to provide healthy, pure and hygienic food for the ashramites and our school children.
The sweets formulas that were handed down still stand true. The most appreciated being the cashew toffee. Many trials were made by Ganpatram ji to bring the taste of the cashew toffee to the present recipe. This is the one that was approved by the Mother and followed till date by us.
Toffees were also given as Prasad by the Mother..
